Whenever you send an Invoice or payment receipt to your client, whether it's a recurring or quick, you will be prompted to review the email that goes out along with the Invoice or payment receipt. When you hit "Send," the client will receive this email with the Invoice/payment receipt attached, and you'll be able to take this opportunity to spruce it up and say whatever you'd like to say to the client as well as select from a library of templates.
Maybe you have a few different types of jobs you do, or want to change it up every week, month, or quarter. With Email Templates, you have options! Let's get started.
When sending an invoice or payment receipt you will see the option to select from your library of templates via the templates tab within the compose email section.
Select > template > select from your list of existing templates or select to create a new template.
Once you have created your new template and saved it you will be able to use it for your invoices and payment receipts and it will be stored in your template library.
You can also access your library of templates via the settings tab > templates tab
You can make edits to your existing templates, delete them and add new templates to your library.
You can also edit the default message via the settings > invoicing tab
Don't forget to give your template a good name that you can remember it by! Here's an example of a template you may create if you're a video editor.
Just as you can on the main email screen, you'll be able to edit both the Subject and body of the email, as you can see here.
Your email will automatically fill to include the new template, but you can always open the menu to select a new one. Here's your newly saved template!
Scroll down a bit on the email page to see a preview of what the client will receive.
I hope this helps you to make professional, ready-to-use templates to send to your clients when it's time for an invoice!
