What Is A Contract?
A contract is a binding agreement as well as a legal document between you and your client.
Create a contract via the Proposals & Contracts tab
To create a contract select the Proposals & Contracts tab > Add New
Via the Green "Create" Tab top right > select Create Proposal / Contract
You will then select from the options to > Create a Contract
This option is creating a Contract without a Proposal. You can create a proposal + contract by selecting the proposal + contract option otherwise you can simply create a contract on its own. Once you create a contract there isn't a way to attach a proposal so it is best to select these options from the beginning.
You can also select to use a template from a existing contract via the "start based on a recent document" option
Select an existing client from your client list or simply select a "new client"
These are your service details of the contract, also known as your billing terms/rates/fees.
Once you have set your project terms/scope select to continue.
You will see the option to edit the custom contract settings and you can edit any of these by selecting the edit settings option.
Once you have saved these settings select next and you will be taken to the cover page and contract for review
You will also be able to edit the contract further by selecting the yellow edit option.
You can also save the contract as a draft by selecting the options tab top right > save.
Once you are ready you can sign and send your contract to your client for approval by selecting > Next top right or sign and send bottom
Once you have signed and confirmed your signature you will be asked to confirm your clients email address, add/remove recipients and edit your personal email message before finalizing and sending.
